As the owner or authorized guardian of the dog(s) listed in the intake form, hereby authorize Cammino Canino to provide pet care services under the following terms and conditions.

Acknowledgment of Risk

I understand and acknowledge that participation in dog walking, daycare, boarding, and related pet care services provided by Cammino Canino involves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to: interactions with other dogs, exposure to outdoor environments, physical activity and exercise, transportation by vehicle, encounters with people, animals, environmental hazards and illness, injury, escape, or loss.

While Cammino Canino will exercise reasonable care and professional judgment in supervising and handling dogs, I understand that dogs are animals and unpredictable behavior may occur despite appropriate precautions.

Dog Interactions

The Dog Owner acknowledges that during walks, daycare, or boarding services their dog may interact with other dogs in a supervised environment. Such interactions are a normal and expected part of group care services.

While Cammino Canino exercises reasonable care in selecting compatible dogs and supervising interactions, the Dog Owner understands that interactions between dogs involve inherent and unpredictable risks, including minor injuries such as scratches, nicks, or superficial wounds.

In accordance with Article 2052 of the Italian Civil Code, the Dog Owner acknowledges that they remain legally responsible for damages caused by their dog. Each Dog Owner therefore remains responsible for their own dog and for any damage or injury their dog may cause to other dogs, persons, or property during the provision of services.

Cammino Canino shall not be held responsible for injuries resulting from normal dog-to-dog interactions where reasonable supervision has been exercised, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

If veterinary treatment becomes necessary following an interaction involving the Dog Owner’s dog, the Dog Owner agrees to assume responsibility for the veterinary expenses related to their own dog.

Transportation

I authorize Cammino Canino to transport my dog by vehicle when necessary for: walks, park visits, veterinary care and emergencies. Cammino Canino will take reasonable precautions during transport, including the use of appropriate restraints where possible.

I acknowledge that transportation carries inherent risks and release Cammino Canino from liability for incidents occurring during reasonable transport, except in cases of gross negligence or misconduct.

Health & Environmental Exposure

I understand that dogs participating in outdoor walks or group activities may be exposed to: parasites (fleas, ticks, etc.), environmental allergens, infectious diseases, contaminated water or surfaces. While reasonable preventative measures are taken, Cammino Canino cannot guarantee that such exposure will not occur.

Owner Responsibility

I confirm that my dog is in good health for participation in services, all vaccinations are current, and my dog is free of contagious illness.

I agree to disclose any known behavioral issues, including but not limited to aggression toward people or other animals, resource guarding, separation anxiety, excessive barking, or escape attempts. Failure to disclose behavioral issues may result in the immediate termination of services without refund.

Cammino Canino reserves the right to refuse or terminate services at any time if a dog displays behavior that poses a risk to the safety of staff, other dogs, or the public. If services are terminated due to behavioral concerns, the Dog Owner agrees to arrange prompt pick-up of their dog.

Property Damage

The Dog Owner acknowledges that, under Article 2052 of the Italian Civil Code, the owner of an animal is responsible for damages caused by the animal, even when the animal is temporarily entrusted to the care of another person.

Accordingly, the Dog Owner confirms that they remain legally responsible for their dog and for any damage the dog may cause to persons, property, equipment, facilities, vehicles, or other animals while the dog is under the care or supervision of Cammino Canino.

The Dog Owner agrees to reimburse Cammino Canino for the costs of repairing or replacing any property damaged by their dog during the provision of services, including but not limited to damage to furniture, flooring, equipment, vehicles, or other items used in the course of providing services. Nothing in this agreement shall exclude or limit liability in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, in accordance with Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code.

In the event that property damage occurs, Cammino Canino will obtain a repair estimate or quotation from an appropriate qualified professional in order to determine the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. The Dog Owner will be informed of the estimated cost and, if they wish, may request an alternative estimate or second opinion from another qualified professional regarding the necessary repair and associated costs. Any repair or replacement costs shall be based on reasonable and documented professional estimates.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Cammino Canino, its owner, employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to the services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
